Water Resources Management
The Company is an IC design company that does not have a production line. Its primary source of greenhouse gas emissions is from the electricity and water used for air-conditioning and office lighting. To reduce emissions, the Company plans to turn off a portion of the lighting and air-conditioning at night, set the temperature of the air-conditioning, control the on-off time, promote turning off lights, save water, implement policies such as paperless electronic signature operations, and set five-year reduction goals in the management strategy. The Company aims to achieve the goal of an average growth rate of greenhouse gas emissions not exceeding 5% in 2026 to slow down its impact on climate change. It is expected to achieve the goal of reducing carbon emissions by 1% and water consumption by 1% in 2023.
The Company's water consumption has not passed external verification, and the usage statistics are being self-managed. The scope includes the Company's Hsinchu and Zhonghe offices. The water consumption statistics for the past two years are as follows:Year Total Water

The increase in greenhouse gas emissions in 2022 compared to 2021 is attributable to the relocation to the Zhonghe office in April 2011. The Company leases the Hsinchu office and must share common areas with the building. The Board of Directors will continue to monitor and evaluate this situation to ensure that the reduction goals are achieved.

Inventory and Verification of Waste Management
Reduce the total amount of industrial waste; effectively and accurately classify, recycle, reuse, and properly dispose of waste. Carefully select waste disposal and recycling vendors, and periodically audit the legality of the waste removal process and take responsibility for waste management and supervision.
The Company's waste has not passed external verification, and the usage statistics are being self-managed. The scope of the inspection includes the Company's Hsinchu and Zhonghe offices. In terms of paper usage, the Company will develop paperless data archiving and continue to implement the electronic form approval process to reduce the need for photocopying and printing. Since 2019, electronic invoices have been fully implemented to reduce paper usage. The number of photocopies in 2022 was 78,303, a decrease of 2.7% from 76,184 in 2021.
